We have been developing a High School Intenship program and are working on the handbook and study guide. Any ASES member who is interested can contact us and use the set-up to bring on high school interns. There are paid and non-paid positions designed into the program. But really it is up to the solar company to work with a high school teacher and the interns.
This can work well for your company and provides a good image for your commitment to serving the community, not to mention it gets you good help. But it requires that you devote mentorship time.
Happy to work with anyone who is interested. I have the materials that will provide you with a solid plan and a road map. Just takes a supervisor and the commitment. You may be hiring the next president of a large solar company. The talent is out there and Lord knows we need all the good help we can find.
