To help our members get the most out of the ASES online community, I'm making a short series of posts highlighting the ASES Technical Divisions!
March 23rd's Division of the day is the Sustainability Division.
The Sustainability Division is focused on the environmental and socioeconomic benefits of renewable energy and improving energy efficiency. The division aims to expand the sustainable energy workforce with educational opportunities and to help spread sustainable living ideas and actions. Topics of course include discussion on energy and sustainable living practices, but also includes some less often overlooked issues like recycling renewables and overuse of land and water. Members will post in the forum section but the division also has webinars, meetups at conferences, and calls where members can share ideas.
If you are interested in sustainability be sure to join the Sustainability Division as soon as possible!
NOTE: If you would like to join a Technical Division, you must be a Professional, Business, Student or Life member and then select the Division on your Online Community profile. It can take up to an hour to admit you to the community. If you would like to join a Division but do not currently qualify, you can upgrade your ASES membership at any time.
