Hey, glad to pass along a good recommendation. "Ministry of the future' is... not my favorite, but KSR continues to find ways to address global warming. First the trilogy starting with 'Forty signs of rain,' and then 'New York 2140.'

He continues to find ways to be a future optimist, not easy these days. I'm a long time techno-optimist but the way society is these days, you wonder if the collective will is there, if enough of us are on the same page. Definitely glad to join this group!

The NYT just printed an article describing what KSR postulated in "40 Signs of Rain":  Saving History With Sandbags: Climate Change Threatens the Smithsonian https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/25/climate/smithsonian-museum-flooding.html?unlocked_article_code=AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACEIPuonUktbfqohlSVUZBibeWdkipwGLwuPKwaA8nXj4LSGTDDNf1OkIBs2O_0DKaatlaJ0zwzGfDpdnAYMYecZTnKVZLlA_DE6huIeFk5AIZHts-Nm_BztmmpvGU-B9rDHmNSzpcbgugeO150LcaWDrWfTV1mYzZ1ow-esTflCq3HcKwa_DA7Q1joE4haF9c8g8ETQQZyCKv-3rCwF-P7iFaxLe6wowXIJJSG2Z3I7cu_9bLlIkWR-RR2h_4G0_9NtcJNsVWa75JBcic8f66q4Djjz6xw8fxlR4HKffyqA1qQ
