No. That's the C-20 rating, all the way "down", basically. OPzV actually do very well on deep discharge as long as you don't make it a "habit". And as backup, it won't be, especially with solar arrays to recharge them daily.
Li-anything is way out of my price league... and bragging rights are of no interest to me. Space and weight are also not a factor for my location. That 10K$ also includes a 6% sales tax and connection cables.
FYI: Batteries are ROLLS OPzV GEL BATTERY
"Designed and well-suited for regular cycling as well as float and backup applications,
Rolls sealed OPzV GEL batteries have a low internal resistance than Flooded deep
cycle models allowing quick recharge and a low self-discharge rate (2% per month).
Rolls OPzV GEL batteries perform well in installations requiring frequent cycling even
under extreme operating conditions and offer more than 20-year cycle life in float
applications at 25ºC (77ºF)."

William, is that 40kwh at 50% SOC? If so you got a great deal. If not, STILL a great deal!

I just invested 10K$ in lead acid. 20+ year life expectancy. 40KWH's capacity. For backup occasions.

This week's session featured discussion on: recent solar industry news. Also we discuss designing stand alone PV systems, getting a perspective on what issues may arise. We also compare the relative merits of Lithium Ion batteries versus Lead Acid.
Each Tuesday at noon (Eastern) solarPVtraining.com hosts a Zoom sessions for students (or anyone, really) interested in solar. Generally discussion focuses on technical questions, problems or troubleshooting - or just what is happening in solar that week.
