Karl Wagner of Duluth Minnesota let me intrude on his space twice to capture just a glimpse of his solar PV collection. Nearly 400 items from chemical-based PV nodes to solar transistor radios are already posted. Multiple high res photos for each, and a brief history of the piece, reside on the Museum of Solar Energy's site. Our recorded conversations took two separate visits and covered some of the minutiae behind solar photovoltaic panel design, as well as fascinating historical artifacts going back to the 1930's. Currently in Germany pursuing his advanced degree in solar energy, Karl and his partner Danielle Rhodes have cornered the market for gems from the history of solar energy.
Anyone serious about solar energy must add this site to their list of top priority bookmarks.
