In 2020 ASES supported the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) to celebrate 50 years since the first international ISES Solar World Congress.
As part of the celebration an online museum was established to highlight the many individuals, research institutes, companies, NGOs and more who made solar what it is today - a booming global industry. Starting all the way back pre 1950s, the online museum presents important people, research, inventions, historical events, displays of early products and solar records from every decade as well as the many solar and renewable energy pioneers that paved the way for the industry to grow to what we know it is today.
The existing museum can be assessed by clicking on the following link: ISES Online Museum of Solar Energy
In 2023, the museum will be relaunched with new rooms and a completely new design. ISES is currently calling for the submission of material. Submissions will close 7th July 2023. ISES requests ASES's support in promoting this call for material.
Attached are the guidelines for submitting material. The guidelines are also available on the site for submitting the material.
Material can be submitted on the ISES website through the following link ISES Online Museum of Solar Energy Submission.
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information. Thank you!
