Announcing CDFA's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund Coalition

Calling all ASES Business members! CDFA is building a national coalition of public, quasi-public, and nonprofit community lenders to apply for the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund's Clean Communities Investment Accelerator Competition. They want you to be a part of it!

    BACKGROUND:

The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) provides $27 billion to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for competitive grants to mobilize financing and leverage private capital for clean energy and climate projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. On April 19, 2023, the EPA released the GGRF implementation framework, identifying three complementary grant competitions: the National Clean Investment Fund Competition ($14 billion), the Clean Communities Investment Accelerator Competition ($6 billion), and the Solar for All Competition ($7 billion).

The Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) will fund hub nonprofits that have a strategy and capability to rapidly build the capacity of public, quasi-public, and nonprofit community lenders. Community lenders will make investments to ensure households, small businesses, schools, and community institutions in low-income and disadvantaged communities have access to financing for cost-saving and pollution-reducing clean technology projects.
