Hello ASES Community!
I hope you can join us at SOLAR 2023: Transforming the Energy Landscape for All, the American Solar Energy Society's 52nd Annual National Solar Conference! This is ASES' first-ever net zero emissions event! The event will take place in Boulder, Colorado, at the University of Colorado Boulder and online on an intuitive and easy-to-use platform made for networking and sharing content. All of our conference attendees will have a great learning experience, whether it be in person, online, or a hybrid of both! Registration is open, and the early bird deadline has been extended to June 1, 2023.
The conference schedule will kick off with an opening reception on the evening of August 8 for our Opening Reception & Plenary: Workforce Development. Speakers include Erika Symmonds, Vice President of Equity and Workforce Development at Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA); Martin Keller, Director at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory; Larry Sherwood, President and CEO of Interstate Renewable Energy Council.
The conference will continue on August 9 and 10 with technical sessions, forums, and other special events all day, each day. Additionally, the conference will include the ASES Annual Awards Banquet, a tour of the NREL research lab, a Mini Boulder Solar Tour, a National Solar Tour Luncheon, two NABCEP Courses, and a NABCEP Workshop. We will then close out SOLAR 2023 on August 11 with a final keynote session - From the Classroom to the Lab to the Board Room. We will also hear from Conference Chair, Dale Miller and ASES Executive Director, Carly Rixham. Following the final keynote will be additional workshops, tours, and other special forums for attendees to participate in.
All technical and keynote sessions on August 9, 10, and 11 will be recorded and live-streamed for all attendees to watch online and after the event is over. See the full list of events, sessions, and more online. SOLAR 2023 is offering many opportunities for participation through special events and programs, plus workshops and courses. With the early bird registration deadline extended to June 1, 2023, there is still plenty of time to register and join the action in Boulder, Colorado, and online!
