Happy Summer Solstice! Today is the very first day of summer and the longest day of the year! To celebrate, we are offering 20% off all ASES memberships using code SOLSTICE23 through June 30!

Today is when the Northern Hemisphere experiences its longest period of daylight and the shortest night of the year. This means the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined towards the sun, resulting in the sun appearing at its highest point in the sky throughout the year. It is a time when the sun provides the most direct sunlight, resulting in longer days and warmer temperatures.

Fun fact: According to Merriam-Webster, Solstice gets its shine from sol, the Latin word for "sun" and sistere ("to stand still") as the sun appears to pause at a northern or southern limit before reversing directions.

This Summer Solstice, let's turn up the heat on equitable solar energy adoption. Join the ASES solar community and ignite the power of the sun in your life while supporting a 100% renewable energy future. Join or renew your ASES membership today!

It also is endless day for the Artic Circle, like in the movie, "Midsommar (2019).

It takes place in Sweden which about 15% of the country is in it.

Not recommended for queasy stomachs. Makes, "The Menu" look like a bedtime story.
