It has been 10 months and my system still isn't fully operational. It's insane I spent months calling and emailing. By the way they changed staff as quickly as you change your clothes. By the way they came out in may and still didn't fix the problem and now it is July and my system still hasn't been turned on.

It has been 6 months and my system still isn't fully operational. It's insane I spent months calling and emailing and  they being giving me excuses of the permit, blaming who knows who that they did a mistake of sending  those papers  to the wrong township....sure they are running  of excuses. By the way they changed staff as quickly as you change your clothes.
By the way i don't  think that this is not to be professional to take advantage of two elderly person and something that they can not give then....i being paying this loan when i don't  have this service and keeping paying  my Lakeland  Florida electric  bill. I am very desperate because  I do know to who I can go so they can help me
they came out in November 2021 put that crap that I am not getting  the benefit

    Aida,

I see you posted in another thread that your contractor was Vision Solar. I will repeat what I wrote to another poster below, but also add this for your specific situation:

Vision Solar's Google Business Listing link:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=vision+solar
It looks like there are quite a few complaints about this company and a not very good average review rating.
    Vision Solar Link on solarreview:
    https://www.solarreviews.com/installers/vision-solar-1-reviews
    Again not very good rating
    Vision Solar Facebook page:
    https://www.facebook.com/VisionSolarLLCNJ/

I am sorry you are having to go through this. As a solar business owner, it is frustrating that there are bad contractors out there that are wrecking what should be an exciting and positive experience for you and others that have decided to invest in solar.

My suggestion would be to start documenting every phone call and every email related to corresponding with the company that installed your system. Then make a list of social media links that are associated with the company, their Google business listing, and any other publicly available resource that would enable you to describe the poor service your are receiving. Then leave detailed but honest reviews on each social media channel or review site that you can find, and keep track of what you wrote and where you wrote it. Then also file a complaint with your local BBB, and maybe call your state attorney general and file a formal complaint with their office.
Hopefully the company will realize that they need to rectify the problems you are experiencing or their business will ultimately be impacted by their poor customer service practices.

    Good luck!

    -Ken

Sadly, this happens more than most folks realize.  Just 3 weeks ago I was in Central TN, where a solar contractor delivered the goods, connected the inverter and battery, but failed to install the solar panels. For over 6 months, the homeonwers had to fire up their generator 3 or 4 times a day to keep the batteries charged and the food in their refrigerator running!!!!  I offered to either make their existing system work, or offered them the option of a SOL-ARK and LiFePo4 batteries. It cost them a little more (they did sell off their old system) but they now have a fully working, maintenance free system that EASILY brings them to 100% SOC every day, even if they go down below 60% SOC. Yes, generator is still available when needed. As we ALL WELL KNOW, you're eventually gonna need that generator if you truly live OFF GRID!!
