SolarReviews releases the results of its 2022 Solar Industry Survey

The results of a nationwide survey carried out by SolarReviews on the solar industry have just been released, revealing statistics such as 66% of installers seeing more interest in solar due to high electricity prices, 63% reporting increased demand in 2022, and more than 70% expecting this growth to continue into 2023

Here are some more of the main findings:

    • Solar storage and EV chargers are now the new standards, with 81% of installers offering energy storage and 67% EV offering EV charger installations.
    • 58% of respondents offer Enphase battery installations, while only 27% offer the Tesla Powerwall, despite its brand recognition.
    • More than 40% of installers believe supply chain issues have been worse than in previous years, leading to almost half of the respondents to purchase more U.S.-sourced products.
    • The high cost of financing (42%), customer acquisition (42%), and solar installers shortage (38%) are the three main barriers to success.
    • Although traditionally, the most used payment method for solar purchases are loans, recently, 42% of installations have been paid with cash
