Hi Solar Family, it's been a while. I've been busy.
My green energy advocacy is growing. My advocacy vehicle, Soul Collective has grown from a four-piece to a five-piece band with the addition of saxophonist and environmentalist Julian Myers. I originally didn't want a sax in the group because we're a blues band, not a jazz band… but whew 😮💨 - this man plays the blues on his sax. Makes me want to throw away my harmonica, but Grandpa would turnover in his grave.
Since the passage of the Big Beautiful Bill, we've been performing and weaving green energy advocacy into every show - music first, message second, but always present. It's been powerful to see how folks lean in when the conversation is wrapped in culture.
We'd love an excuse to bring this energy to Boulder one of these days and connect with the ASES community in person. And of course, if any of you find yourselves in New York, you already know - you've got to come catch a Soul Collective set.
Much love,
JTW aka The Solar Guy
