    Hi Renewable Energy Experts!
A news reporter from InsideSources reached out to me; please see their message below. I would love your assistance on this if possible! You're welcome to respond to me so I can share it with them, or directly speak with them at 804-297-1082. Thank you for your help in advance!
"I'm writing to see if you have any insight regarding the recent Senate Energy Committee hearing in which a panel of experts warned of the potential weaknesses surrounding the energy grid as the nation switches to more and more green energy electrical generation.
Do you think these warnings were accurate and/or reasonable? Is the grid in any danger of strain and/or collapse due to reliance on green energy? Or should it be able to hold up just fine as the share of green energy generation grows in the near future?
Thanks for any insight you can give. I'm also at 804-297-1082."

The best folks to respond to this are the good folks at ESIG (energy systems integration group). Speak with Charlie Smith or Debra Lew.
Home - ESIG ESIG works with the ISO/RTOs, large RE developers, large utilities and RE equipment manufacturers to figure out how to get high contributions of renewables on the grid. Currently, these collective organizations have it pretty much figured out to 80% renewables. This includes moving the transportation sector over to the grid.

The ESIG Aligning Retail Pricing with Grid Needs Task Force examined ways that retail pricing may be used more widely and more efficiently to allow flexible demand to respond to grid needs as the role of demand becomes increasingly important for the reliability of the grid.

God. I got about 5 minutes into Manchin and I had to go rinse my mouth out from throwing up in it.

Partisan hack intro. The FFI promotion (Coal from Manchin, REALLY) is the real irony. Most of the recent blackouts and rolling brown outs occur in the heat of Summer, which are becoming more and more extreme due to the very FF's he promoted in his intro..

It is like offering salt water to people who are dying of thirst.

And to add insult to injury, the very same FF's causing global warming are creating fire seasons everywhere, which is a blackout creator in and of itself. Kat's reference to the book, "California Burning" is a blazing (pun intended) exposé of what global warming is doing to our Earth, and how Capitalism fails to produce beneficial outcomes for electric reliability.

I hate to be so curt and intolerant here, but it is impossible to get anything useful out of congress, either chamber, without each one of them serving their own interests, paid in full to their donors, their own bank account or the voters they polarized.

Twisted truth, obfuscation, distortion, outright lies are always part of their vocal vibrations into the mic, feeding the disinformation machine for the FFI's benefit.

So, if the remainder of the Vocal Diarrhea is anything like the into, nothing to see here....

Just another set of "Alternate Facts", thank you Kellyanne... 1/22/2017

You want to fix the grid. Socialize it at a federal level.

    Hola Ella,

Marc Perez would be a good resource to answer this. There was a similar article in NYTimes he is responding too already.

    Saludos

    Robert
