    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Industry Leaders to Convene at 2-day Mid-Atlantic Solar & Storage Insight Conference  Regional powerhouse MSSIA tackles interconnection challenges, net metering reform, and community solar  expansion

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – April 19, 2025 – The clean energy landscape across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and  Delaware is about to get a significant boost as the Mid-Atlantic Solar & Storage Industries Association (MSSIA)  hosts a 2-day event: Mid-Atlantic Solar & Storage Insight Conference on May 5-6, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency  New Brunswick.

This first-of-its-kind regional event brings together the solar and storage industry's most influential voices to  address the technical, policy, and market barriers currently constraining deployment across the tri-state area.

"The Mid-Atlantic region has enormous untapped potential for solar and storage growth, but developers face a  complex web of interconnection hurdles, policy uncertainty, and market design challenges," said  MSSIA President, Lyle Rawlings. "This conference creates a dedicated forum where solution providers can engage  directly with policymakers and utilities to overcome these obstacles."

The conference agenda tackles the most pressing issues facing project developers and manufacturers in the  region:

Storage Market Acceleration: Sessions dedicated to emerging battery incentive programs and value stacking opportunities across state markets

Community Solar Expansion: Detailed analysis of New Jersey's permanent program implementation  and Pennsylvania's nascent market development

Net Metering Evolution: Critical insights on upcoming policy shifts that will reshape distributed  generation economics

Grid Modernization & Interconnection Challenges: New Jersey's growing closed distribution circuit  crisis threatens solar and storage expansion, but also presents a unique opportunity for grid  modernization that could ensure energy affordability, reliability, and sustainable industry growth,

The conference includes nine sessions over two days, featuring high-profile speakers and BPU appointees. Day  one offers two focused afternoon sessions, a keynote from Energy Chairman, Senator Bob Smith, and a  networking social event; day two delivers seven in-depth sessions covering the full spectrum of topics, relevant  to the solar industry in the Mid-Atlantic.
