  • 1.  Nissan Leaf Battery Question

    Hi all! An ASES member asked me the following question below, does anyone have any insight on fixing a Nissan Leaf car battery?

    "A woman I know in Denver who has a Nissan Leaf car with a battery that can only charge to go 35 miles. I'm interested in that car. I'm wondering if there's way of fixing the battery or if it can be replaced by a new one."

    You can buy a new pack for it, or there is a market for low mileage used packs. Just have look around.... Google leaf replacement battery packs... etc..

    Hola Ella,

    Sounds like her battery is just aging and will need to be replaced. 

    EV batteries typically last about a decade (depends on usage).

    The range on older LEAFS battery packs was only about 100 miles.
