Plug-in Solar: Colorado legislation and looking for volunteers for plug-in

    Hi ASES Community:

Colorado just passed the best plug-in solar legislative guidlines this month, a great model for other states. Now there are about six states with guidelines. CO set a max output of 1920 watts (via micro-inverter). Most states have set 1200 watts. One can install more PV and the micro-inverter will clip the exess (which seldom happens).  AP Systems ($360 delivered) EZ1 LV has 900 watts that can be paralleled to 1800 watts, not bad. EcoFlow has a 1200 watt micro-inverter.

I'm doing an study/evaluation of plug-in solar systems that have been installed or will be soon. I want to have systems on each of the three types of electric utilities, Muni (PUD), Coop's, and IOU's. I have two in WA state, but want more, anywhere.  You can email me if interested in volunteering for the evaluation: smiley27@earthlink.net or hon at (231) 883-4850 PT.   Systems are being made available at some Costco's, etc. But you can do a DIY yourself for half the price, from $600 to $1200 depending on how many panels and wattage you want.  I have made a bunch of google docs files with DIY information and other articles related to PIPV. See these links.
