You are invited to join us for our Snow and Soiling Impacts on PV Arrays webinar this Wednesday, May 6, at 4 pm MT!

Snow and soiling losses can significantly impact Solar PV output. This webinar features Tim Townsend and explores the Townsend Snow & Dust model, along with its evolution into practical, user-friendly tools for real-world energy loss estimation.

    Speakers:
☀️ Tim Townsend, P.E. is a Professional Mechanical Engineer with over 40 years of experience in the photovoltaic industry, including leadership roles as a Principal Engineer at DNV and its predecessor firms. He developed the widely cited Townsend snow loss model, first introduced at the 2011 IEEE PV Specialists Conference, and has contributed numerous tools and methodologies for PV system design, performance modeling, and long-term energy analysis.
☀️ Kajal Sheth is a Solar PV professional engineer who developed an open-source tool implementing the Townsend Snow and Soiling model, and serves as Vice Chair at ASES PV Technical Division.
