A message from the DOE's Better Plants Team:
Dear partners:
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), through Better Plants, is offering an 8-week Virtual Training on 50001 Ready from February 17 to April 7, 2026. This Virtual Training will be led by industrial experts and Technical Account Managers.
Participants will learn the basics of the 50001 Ready Energy Management System (EnMS) and how to utilize the DOE 50001 Ready Navigator and several software tools to enhance their learning. The training will prepare participants to start implementing ISO 50001 practices and achieve 50001 Ready recognition.
More details:
- The 50001 Ready Virtual Training comprises eight (8) 2.5-hour online training sessions delivered on Tuesdays, 10:00 AM–12:30 PM ET from February 17 - April 7, 2026.
- Participation in Virtual Trainings is open to all U.S. manufacturers and is offered at no cost.
- Homework assignments will be given to participants at the end of each session and will be due by the next session. These homework assignments are designed to enhance participants' understanding of 50001 Ready concepts.
- At completion of the Virtual Training, participants can request a certificate for Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
