Hi all!
There are two opportunities to give input on how the US Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office can produce solar technologies to deploy more clean energy and address the climate crisis.
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) issued a Request for Information (RFI) to learn more about the availability of domestically manufactured solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and components. GSA seeks feedback from industry to inform a comprehensive policy that supports decarbonizing the U.S. electric grid and securing a domestic clean energy supply chain.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) seeks public input on how to leverage the Defense Production Act (DPA) to increase manufacturing output and the speed of clean energy deployment. In June, President Biden provided DOE new authority to use the DPA to accelerate the production of key technologies, including solar PV. Now, DOE wants to hear your ideas on how to use the DPA authority to achieve the following goals:
- Addressing supply chain challenges
- Investing in a growing workforce
- Supporting energy equity and access
