Photovoltaic ( PV ) electromagnetic dome habitats are emerging and could potentially contribute to such a vision in the future for instant housing, remote campsites, remote work stations, extraplanetary microcosms.

Solar-Integrated Air Domes: Current advancements in air dome architecture involve the integration of hyper holographic modules, onto the ionized magnetic spherical surfaces of air domes to generate electricity within a environment protective comfort zone. This technology can power the dome's operations, provide a stable internal environment, and eliminate reliance on traditional power sources.

Smart AI and Privacy Control: Switchable AI/PV envelopes can change its optical properties (transparency, translucency, or opacity) in response to electrical or thermal signals. This technology is already being used in various settings, including windows, partitions, and art facades, to control privacy and manage light and heat.

Electromagnetic Energy Harvesting: Research is ongoing in the field of electromagnetic energy harvesting, which involves converting ambient electromagnetic energy (like radio frequency signals or Wi-Fi) into electrical energy. This could potentially be used to power devices and systems within or around the domes.

Field Generator Shield Advancements: The idea of creating electromagnetic fields to regulate temperature and maintain a "tranquil equilibrium" within the dome, implies advanced field generator technology that can precisely control and manipulate electromagnetic fields for these purposes. While electromagnetic energy harvesting is being explored, the precise control and manipulation of electromagnetic fields for temperature regulation could be coupled with Air Gen technologies.

Solar Energy Integration and Flexible PV: Currently while flexible solar panels exist and are integrated into various structures, challenges remain in maximizing their efficiency and lifespan, and further research is needed for optimal integration into fluid curved dome surfaces.

While the full vision of Solar Air Domes as PV electromagnetic habitats with privacy-controlled color-changing capabilities is still in the realm of future possibilities.  Advancements in solar-integrated air domes, smart AI/PV technology, and electromagnetic energy harvesting are laying the groundwork for such innovations. Further research and development in these areas are necessary to overcome technical challenges and realize this ambitious vision for future wall-less housing and habitats. Air Domes as PV electromagnetic habitats once perfected could act as instant housing for humans anywhere on the planet with only the Air Dome Projector. Constructing domes solely with AI holograms with the use of holography, augmented reality is beginning to transform how domes are created, offering significant potential for direct 3D holographic fabrication which could pave the way for even more direct applications in the future.

Or we could SIMPLY take all the tech we have RIGHT NOW and put it on all the roofs of everything, parking lot covers, brownfield land, Etc. and have all the energy we need NOW, at a low price.

But hey why do something now, that you have EVERYTHING for, when you can fantasize about things you don't.

Bill  with all these storms, fires, floods, hurricanes, tornados, hail, straight line winds,  you name it destroying our homes and roofs everywhere, maybe we should consider some alternatives to structures and start thinking outside that box? This climate change thing seems to be happening all around us all the time now, as the so called 100 year disasters are every few months now.  A dome by nature creates a space that is hard to knock down next to what maybe a pyramid.  A fantasy somehow we doubt that. Over the next few decades expect extreme changes in how the human species shelters upon or under this planet.

People are not logically minded. Pick your disaster. Hurricane, tornado, flooding, wildfires, etc. Their house gets destroyed by these things. What do they do? They rebuild right in the same spot. Emotion over logic. The only thing that forces them to move is the insurance companies not insuring a location any more, than they can't get a bank loan without it.

People don't want to live in a dome. They want to feel a breeze now and then, to hell with the consequences. And "beam me up Scottie" force fields have not been invented yet.

You want to build a survivable structure, build a concrete dome home, a geodesic dome, etc.. This way you can walk outside and still feel you are on Earth.

Computer!  COMPUTER!!  END PROGRAM? This has been an interactive, 3D virtual simulation of an environment using holograms. It allows users to interact with an simulated environment, objects, and characters for training, recreation, and exploring imaginary, or futuristic, and or historical settings.   Please exit the Holodeck, or begin a new program.   Bill, Have you ever considered that it would be very nice to have a Enviro-Shield that can even protect your existing home. Well that technology isn't that far away.  And Bill who says that a Dome cant be full of breezes? And fact of the matter is the uppermost part of the human skull, which encloses the brain, is often referred to as the calvaria  or skullcap, and it is described as being dome-shaped. This shape plays a crucial role in protecting the brain from trauma. So in essence we all already live under a Dome. The dome-like shape of the skull is not just for aesthetics; it's a biomechanically advantageous structure that helps to distribute forces from impacts over a wider area, reducing stress at any single point and protecting the delicate brain tissue within rather logically minded or an air head.

    Bill,

I'm with you on this one. Those of us who have seen and been part of the many different solar iterations of new concepts and applications and devices for 40 years know that what we have now is pretty good and able to get the job done. It has been tested and validated and survival of the fittest has occurred.  We don't have time or resources to develop, validate and manufacture cost effectively AT GIGAWATT SCALE any of these advanced and unproven ideas. What we need to keep developing ways to integrate more of the existing solar, inverter, battery and load control technology at larger scale. Think about this - the PV industry (modules, racking, inverter, battery, interconnection agreements) has reached > 100 GW scale in US. How long before any of these other things would reach similar scale at comparable cost????

No form of human technology will ever stand still. Expect extreme stream lining of solar in the near future as almost everything you see today will become obsolete just as with every other technology invented by human beings.  Nevertheless sure lets go with what we have right now but lets not stagnate into thinking this is it. Solar technology will advance as the cumbersome nature of current status quo fades into history.  The exposure to the very  weather, both solar, and atmospheric, will dictate change in how solar is implimented along with human ingenuity which will favor integration. ( Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV)  When billions, upon billions of humans demand solar energy on their homes, factories, and businesses  in the near future the very supply lines, and rare earth elements will force evolution towards a Solar Singularity not only in the technology but in installation. Electricity will become so easy to create that no one will ever need to buy it from someone else ever again.  Bill  " Massive Deployment " of any major energy related technology at this late date could actually break the bank as far as earth's climate is concerned. Take it easy, kick those shoes off, sit a spell, relax.   Deforestation will explode as humans move into these areas with cheap independent energy unless a major shift in how humans habitat, and the mining and  manufacturing,  and distrubution of all that solar equipment would not offset any current or future climate statistics. Maybe living more like the Amish would help totally without electricity?

Joe, Solar has just now reached a point in it's maturity finally that a major quantum leap is inevitable.  A technology struggles until it reaches a pinnacle, then miniaturization sets in. (Micrometric Photovoltaic Cells) Look around you at how fast things get very small and very efficient, like phones, computers, cars, houses  and now power plants. Hypothetical Invention: AI-Designed "Quantum-Perovskite Tandem Cell"

Based on these methods, an AI could invent a super advanced cell with:

    • Structure: A quadruple-junction design layering AI-optimized perovskites (for visible light), quantum dots (for infrared), and gallium arsenide (for UV), with nanoscale interfaces to minimize losses.
    • Efficiency: 55%, surpassing current records by using AI to fine-tune bandgaps and reduce recombination losses.
    • Power Output: A 10 m² home panel could produce 5-7 kW peak, covering average U.S. household needs (30 kWh/day) with storage. For cars, a 2 m² roof panel might yield 1-2 kWh/day, extending range by 20-50 km in sunny conditions.
    • Advantages: Flexible, low-cost ($0.20/W), stable for 30+ years, and recyclable. AI's role: Discovered via screening 10 million virtual structures, simulated in days, and optimized for real-world variability.

This process mirrors ongoing AI-driven accelerations in PV, where tools like active learning have slashed development time and costs. While not yet realized, scaling such AI methods could make this a reality by 2030, transforming energy for homes and transport.

Under the solar dome, my love, Where the future hums above! We built our world in a bubble of light, Where the stars shine day and night, The PV hum keeps the rhythm tight, And the air feels oh so right- In our dome so warm and bright! Under the solar dome, we'll never be alone, Electric dreams in a field of chrome, Smart A.I. walls that shimmer and glow, Oh baby, flip the switch, let the colors show! In our bubble of love tonight... Magnetic waves from the skies we borrow, Powerin' our love till the cosmic tomorrow, Privacy glass turns shade to shine, Holograms build our home divine- Singin' "future's yours and mine!" Ooooh, the field is fine... Ion lines entwine... No wires, no walls, just solar time- Darlin', this dome's sublime! Under the solar dome, we call it home, A microcosm spun from the great unknown, Every heartbeat hums in electromagnetic tone, Oh baby, let's dream beyond the ozone! The sun's our spark, our heart's the chrome... Forever love, under our solar dome...

Dear Bill,  This is actually grounded in a bit of history. Nikola Tesla frequently demonstrated his groundbreaking wireless energy experiments-often using early forms of a Tesla Coil to wirelessly light up vacuum tubes and Katharine was often at these meetings.

    image

The Correspondence: Over the years, Katharine wrote Tesla approximately 150 letters. These letters are archived in the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade and offer a glimpse into her passion for his mind and her desire to grow closer to him.

In Literature: Their unique relationship has inspired historical fiction, most notably the book My Love Nikola Tesla by Ana Atanasković, which fictionalizes her journals, inner turmoil, and devoted friendship to the inventor. She is also the mother of the noted author Owen Johnson

Katharine Agnes McMahon Johnson (1856–1924) was one of inventor Nikola Tesla's closest lifelong friends and, according to historical accounts and biographers, may have been the only woman he ever loved.

    image

Tesla would of been very excited about modern photovoltaic technologies because no matter where you are upon the inhabitable Earth you can collect the PV electricity directly from the source which is the Sun.  Soon very soon totally wirelessly.  Wireless photovoltaic (WPV) technology refers to systems that integrate direct solar power generation with wireless transmission networks or wireless energy beaming, or quantum transfer, removing the constraints of physical power lines and physical communication cables to receiving internal power cells intricate to every electrical device, and appliance in the very near future as the self-charging boom revolution sweeps the planet.

When I was like 14,  I made from  scratch a 250,000 volt Tesla coil. Won me the science fair that year.. They are very dramatic with their "dancing" blue arc's. So, I know about such things. As far as EMR increasing in our daily lives, EMR is not cell friendly. The higher the frequency, the greater the chance of cell damage and Cancer. But the profit seekers from such tech (Cell towers, etc.) are not about to let the Science inform you about that risk. Its just like the old mantra that Nuclear energy has never caused any deaths.  Total BS. Electromagnetic domes that have the ability to block any kinetic matter is also the stuff of Star Trek, much like time travel (Impossible) and many other things that Hollywood makes a $hit load of money on...

So please come down to reality and use the very effective RE tools and products that are real now.....

They will also sell you  alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine knowing that they are highly addictive, and a huge detriment to human health causing disease and death but yet they are stacked to the ceiling in almost every gasoline station and retail in America along with, " Gasoline"  the other substance that has killed more humans than any other on the planet in wrecks, air pollution, wars and what ever.  Be careful with what you call science fiction because next week it will be science fact. One thing about the human mind is that if humans can imagine a thing they can build it, and who says solar has to be boring. Why should " Hollywood " have all the fun.  Come On Bill None of these things we call solar energy today was around just a few decades ago and if you talked to somebody back then about these things, well they would think you were nuts. Why stifle solar technology when the very idea of solar energy requires an open sky where the sky is the limit has no limitations.  I say lets entertain entertainment and go for the gusto.  Gusto Solar  Now thats an idea.. Real Now? LOL  Yeah  Real NOW for sure.  What we are calling " Real Now " will be obsolete in a month   LOL   Besides we all live under a giant " AIR DOME " for lack of a better word we call it,  " Atmosphere "  Maybe we should change the atmosphere in here?  Bill what is wrong with this Picture "?

BTW: The human mind has thought of time travel, as noted. It will never, ever happen no matter who and how long they think about it. As for all the toxins on sale in convenient/gas stores, etc., thus is the problem with a currency based world, and as long as we have it we will end. Its just a matter of when... but that is off topic....

It is wonderful to hear about your interest in the real Tesla and his very advanced inventions. Nikola Tesla truly was ahead of his " Time" and in a way that is time travel.  Some people have this unique ability to see and become the future, as Tesla did and the rest of us tag along. Trail Blazers are another term. The future is out there already in space and our planet is racing towards it at staggering cumulative speeds. That space/time is cold dark and empty until we fill it with something wonderful like  life, light and in our case solar energy.  The future is where we are all going so lets make it the best future ever.  Now thats time traveling 101..  You to  Bill hope your Saturday is a nice time upon this lovely planet our here floating in the heavens🌎.. "  Happy Tesla Day "  and, "  Congratulations"  on taking home that 250,000 volt Tesla coil prize at the science fair way back there in Time..

Change is the only true constant in this universe, so at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what label we put on humans, or what we call this change, creation, evolution, adaptation, or fitting into the status quo. It is still and always will come down to surviving. We can program our minds to believe anything from a science to a religion, to driving a car. It is all programmed and learned behavior. A million years from now there will be a lot of very different creatures upon this planet than are here today. Lets just hope that the human species is among them healthy and thriving no matter what form we take to adapt to this ever changing environment. For instance humans colonizing space or oceans would evolve to thrive in those environments. This could involve changes in body size, limb structure, and sensory adaptations.Humans beings in general are not patience enough to understand the vast timescales it takes for species to evolve into very complex lifeforms. We live in a world full of fantasy, were instant gratification takes precedence over logic and scientific understandings. People will easily accept the idea of a Guru miracle worker that can bring about healings, raising people from the dead, and walking on water in a book somewhere, but are hesitant to explore the deeper workings of nature, real cures, and lifesyles that create healthy long lives here and now on this beloved organic planet. “

Great links-I truly enjoyed watching them. Funny enough, I have been revisiting a lot of the older Carl Sagan material lately. To me, Carl Sagan was one of the greatest American astronomers of all time. He possessed a rare gift: the ability to take the vastness of the cosmos and make it feel personal, understandable, and inspiring. His enthusiasm was contagious. When Sagan spoke, people listened-not because they had to, but because he made them want to. He ignited curiosity and wonder in millions, reminding us that humanity's greatest adventures begin with a simple question: "What if?"

As I watched those old programs, I couldn't help but think about how far technology has come and where it may soon take us. Artificial Intelligence is one of the most remarkable tools humanity has ever created. It is an incredibly creative instrument, capable of assisting with discovery, design, communication, and problem-solving on a scale never before imagined. Yet, AI remains a tool. Just as the most luxurious automobile in the world is only as effective as the person behind the wheel, AI is only as wise and beneficial as the people who guide, program, and use it.

Used responsibly, AI has the potential to greatly expand the reach of the human mind. It can help scientists solve complex problems, accelerate medical breakthroughs, improve education, and aid humanity in overcoming challenges that once seemed impossible. More importantly, it may become one of the keys that allows our civilization to step beyond Earth and become a true spacefaring species.

Long before human beings set foot on distant worlds, AI-driven humanoid androids will likely lead the way. These robotic explorers could endure harsh environments, travel for years without complaint, and venture into places too dangerous for humans. They may walk across the frozen plains of Mars, descend into the hidden oceans beneath the icy crust of Europa, or explore the methane lakes of Titan. In many ways, they will become the eyes, ears, and hands of humanity throughout the solar system.

Perhaps this is the next chapter of the story Carl Sagan envisioned. Humanity has always been a species of explorers. From crossing oceans to crossing continents, every generation has pushed beyond the known horizon. Now the horizon stretches across the planets themselves. With AI as our tool and human imagination as our guide, we may one day establish thriving communities throughout the solar system, carrying the seeds of life, knowledge, and culture to new worlds.

Carl Sagan often reminded us that we are made of star stuff. The atoms within us were forged in ancient stars long before Earth existed. Maybe our destiny is not merely to look up at the heavens in wonder, but to become active participants in the cosmic story itself. If guided with wisdom and purpose, AI may help humanity write that next chapter-one where the descendants of Earth stand among the stars, exploring the universe with the same curiosity and enthusiasm that Sagan inspired in all of us.
