In addition to recapping the week's solar news, we discuss the issues and the uncertain future of lithium-ion batteries.

Each Tuesday at noon (Eastern) solarPVtraining.com hosts a Zoom sessions for students (or anyone, really) interested in solar.  Generally discussion focuses on technical questions, problems or troubleshooting - or just what is happening in solar that week.

Jay as you mention many times these solar farms, wind farms and the like are all selling power back to the dirty grid for profits. So we released a post about this, this week on that very subject for review below.  As for lithium-ion batteries seems the market is pretty stable and will only increase over time for now, yet there is a lot of problems on the replacement cost, recycle side, and mining, as well fires as we saw with salt water inundation of EVs during the hurricanes causing a lot of problems.  The main thing we see with lithium-ion batteries is other type battery technology superseding them over time with efficiency, life cycles and recyclability.

    Solar Time Line

A possible alternate future world where every Home/EV will be off grid solar. Every business will be stand alone microgrid solar. Every factory, and endless range highway will be totally solar powered from solar farms nearby. Zero Point, in this future solar industry means we all made it. We arrived before we left. Some there called it time travelling. Others just said, " The human race ended, we all made it across the finish line just in time " Okay, with 80 % of all electrical loads on the current grid going towards the manufacturing/distribution/servicing of the combustion engine infrastructure which is diminishing, also commerce and banking moving online displacing electrical hog buildings shouldn't solar be able to meet demands easier in the future as true contributors towards sustainable equilibrium as these traditional systems fall to disruptive solar which could directly power homes and subdivisions, and businesses with microgrids? Okay, 2030 seems to be the year predicted that will turn the tide for renewable energy. That is just 5 years away. With the huge increase in electrical demand predicted from,- Made In America manufacturing installations- EV charging - Ever expanding cities with urban sprawl - Extreme storm rebuilding -Infrastructure and utility grid upgrades - Cryptocurrency, - War machines, just to name a few. Would you agree that really energy really isn't the problem. It is more what the energy is being used for that is the problem, with endless ritual holidays, obsolete energy hog technologies, landscapes with endless gasoline service stations, and urban shopping center heat islands going up everywhere, endless warehouses full of made to fail for repeat sell junk products. We also got huge solar PV farms, and wind farms, hooked up to the grid powering these things as well for profits. This isn't going to help at all with the big picture of offsetting this so called climate change crisis? Also if so wont "Global Climate Change " advancing towards the warming of the planet's oceans cause higher sun induced evaporation into the atmosphere not only producing the super storm, but the increased cloud envelope that will effect solar farm outputs not to mention the smoke from wildfires. Big Picture- Shouldn't solar/wind...etc. Be truly alternative clean energy that solves the climate crisis not just extend the status quo grid? The way the whole human family habitats upon this planet has to change from the ground up with these alternatives locally if any of this is going to change anything, other wise it is just another waste of time and energy and our Mother Earth and her life sustaining ecosystems will continue to disintegrate.

With keeping " On the Morning Side ! "

The grass is always greener on the other side   -  Enjoy

    We dont need fusion power
