DOE Webinar: Inflation Reduction Act Home Energy Rebate Program
Thursday, December 8, 1 PM ET
The IRA appropriated approximately $8.5 billion to DOE for grants to State Energy Offices and Indian Tribes for two new rebate programs. Additionally, the IRA appropriated $200 million for residential energy contractor training programs. Distribution of these funds is being managed by DOE's new Office of State and Community Energy Programs. This informational webinar will highlight key program design considerations for the Home Owner Managing Energy Savings (HOMES) Rebate Program, High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate (HEEHRA) Program, and the Home Energy Efficiency Contractor Training Grants. DOE will then discuss how various stakeholders can best position themselves to learn more about these opportunities and prepare for distribution of the rebates. DOE will also preview its plans for upcoming listening sessions where stakeholders can provide insights to DOE staff on the implementation of a residential efficiency and electrification rebates program. The presenter will be Michael Forrester, Acting Principal Deputy Director, Office of State and Community Energy Programs, US DOE. Register here.
