Hi all,
ASES is looking for ten Middle Schools to join the ASES National Solar Tour this October 6-8, 2023! Do you know any schools that would like to join and sign up? Check out more details below!
We are looking for ten Middle Schools to participate in hosting their own "Know Your Solar" school sites. With the support of the All Points North Foundation, we are grateful to be able to provide ten Middle Schools in the U.S. with a $500 stipend for their work in prepping for the event and for their time.
What is the National Solar Tour?
The NST showcases the benefits and possibilities of renewable energy and sustainability through a series of local open houses and tours. It brings together homeowners, businesses, schools, and organizations that have installed solar energy systems and sustainable features to provide an opportunity for the public to see firsthand how solar technology works and learn about its advantages.
What does hosting a solar site look like?
We are asking for you or a representative from your school to host an in-person tour to bring together students and families and provide educational resources for attendees to learn more about solar. ASES acknowledges the importance of raising solar-curious and solar-savvy young adults who understand their roles in working toward a clean energy future, being responsible for minimizing their carbon footprint, and evangelizing for broader adoption of solar for everyone is paramount. We encourage schools to host a tour in person for a few hours anytime from October 6-8, 2023.
Sign up for the National Solar Tour today!
Please let me know if you have any questions or contact solartour@ases.org. Thanks so much!
