The Ancient Peoples knew that something very special happened around this time of year. They didn't know exactly what but they began marking it as very significant. We are talking about the winter solstice. The earth has a tilt, a wobble of around 23 degrees and this oscillating tilt causes our seasons, but none as remarkable as the winter solstice for during this time, the nights are long, dark, and cold but the Ancients noticed that 3 days after the winter solstice the 25th the sun would noticeably begin to rise further north as the earth began to rock backwards in the other direction causing the days to be a little longer. So they thought of the Sun of which many worshipped as GOD, as being dead ( Dead of Winter ) on the 21st for 3 days then being reborn rising on the 25th as the unconquered sun, resurrected towards springtime again and away from the would-be cold dark death of winter.
Celebrations on this day the 25th of December go back tens of thousands of years into our past and forwards all the way to our present day. The main difference nowadays is that religion has captured this famous natural astronomical occurrence, and turned it into a fantasy, a holiday called Christmas created by Magi Merchants to profit off the masses that have completely forgotten what this time of year is actually all about, and its agricultural significance. Instead what they get is a perpetual fairy tale -Magic Santa Claus, with flying Reindeer along with the Roman Catholics Demigod's Birthday, Sol Invictus who changed his name to Jesus Christ, to appease the Hebrew, Greek and Pagan Masses within the Roman Empire. No Matter, The Personification- Our Bright Morning Star, Our risen savior still shines towards Springtime from afar. For without the Sun there would be no life upon the Earth.

In 2020 hindsight, the notable astronomical event on the winter solstice (December 21st) was not Venus rising with the Sun, but rather a "Great Conjunction" where Jupiter and Saturn appeared very close together in the evening sky, creating a visually striking alignment that many people referred to as a "Christmas Star."
