  • 1.  Elective pay questions

    I have two specific questions about elective pay; would be curious if anyone has any insight!

    1. I remember way back in summer of 2023 I attended a webinar about the elective pay process and they mentioned that one of the stackable tax credits available to apply for was for a "domestic content requirement"; i.e., if you used American-made stuff you'd get a credit for that.  10% was the number I believe.  But now I'm looking at this sheet from the IRS website and I don't see any domestic content tax credit listed.  Am I just reading this wrong?  Was I misinformed last summer?
    2. I heard earlier today that a nonprofit can't apply for elective pay if they used grant funding to pay for the solar power system.  Is this just for a federal grant?  Or would using a grant of any source disqualify a nonprofit from applying for elective pay?  Or is this completely false? 

    If anyone has any insight I'd love to know!
