My love for the outdoors was born while attending "bird camp", a nature camp in western Maryland I attended throughout elementary and middle school. I attended West Virginia University where I majored in wildlife and fisheries resources. I worked for a year in the D.C. area as a high school environmental science teacher, before moving to Kansas City and working at Jerusalem Farm as a gardener. I am now an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer, working on a project to provide low-income families with PV systems at no cost to the homeowner.
