Bio

Donald Osborn –President, Spectrum Development Energy Inc. Founded and led the SMUD Solar Program for over a decade and is one of the most respected professionals in the PV industry. The SMUD Solar Program was responsible for the first broad commercialization of grid-connected PV in the US that led to today’s PV market. An engineer with over 40 years experience in solar projects, commercialization, research, program implementation, and public policy with numerous prestigious industry awards including the 2001 International Energy Globe award and the 2000 Abbot Award for “significant and sustained contributions to solar energy”.
