We have used PV modules 40 years old, 30 years old as well as 'new' PV modules (now 4-5 years old)... we don't have noticeable 'degradation' ! William - As you have stated there are the 'fuzzy' aspects involved with the 'clouds' and diffused solar energy from weather and other 'unknowns' including vegetation/trees and what not ! Tracy - I also am 'off-grid' and had an issue with just how to charge (re-charge) an EV at home ! I also was frustrated and decided to buy a 'hybrid EV' that could charge the battery while driving ! If I had the funds, I would have purchased a 'PHEV', and when possible, use an EV charger 'on-the-road' ...
